Ever Password is a new application that manages passwords across Windows, Web, Mac and iOS with a strong encryption technique. Just another password manager you might think? Why try something new, when you have LastPass or KeePass for Windows and iOS/Android?
Well, what makes Ever Password stand out is its intuitiveness. It is not loaded as either of them and may not be popular yet, but it does not bear the nightmarish UI of Keepass nor does it have its vault cluttered with ads (read: lastPass).
Major Features
- Automatic synchronisation of your password: Ever Password can synchronise your password automatically with the cloud or any device it is installed on for easy access.
- Industrial grade, 256 Bit AES encryption for your password data.
- Multi Platform support: Ever Password apps are already on iOS, Mac and Windows. Blackberry, Android and Windows Phone versions are “coming soon” as well
- Stand Alone mode : If you do not want your data to be stored on the cloud, but instead locally on your device.

The installation and setup is a no brainer routine hit-next-till-you’re-done affair. However you do need to sign up on everpassword.com for the first time for using the app.
Delving Inside
Quite honestly, the Windows app is a lazy, ugly port of the iOS version. One really frustrating issue being, on my 64 bit Windows 7 installation, the app does not even resize appropriately and icons in the bottom bar are in accessible unless you move your taskbar. Ever Password Windows devs need to spend a little more time using the app on Windows before letting UI blunders like these happen.
Anyway keeping the minor ramblings aside the rest of the user interface looks clean, and if you have ever used an iOS app you would feel pretty comfortable navigating around the UI. The app offers plenty of categories by default for storing the passwords, but I felt broader categories and the ability to create your own categories would be a great additions. One cool thing to note that is Ever Password has decent number of real-life templates like Credit Cards, Contacts etc. for added utility.
Sync is easily the most impressive feature of the app and it does this fairly well. The passwords are automatically synced everytime you login. You can ofcourse turn this off if you are wholly uncomfortable with the entire idea of sync with the inbuilt Stand Alone mode, but that would then make preferring this app pretty much a moot point.
Ever Password also includes a small yet handy tool for generating random passwords that you can use anywhere.
If you are worried about your data being compromised, you better not. Because it would take more than 14.6 billion years to break a 256 bit AES encrypted key with the current technology, longer than the age of the universe!
The Web interface of the vault is really good as well, and can be very useful at times when you need your passwords and critical information on devices where it is not installed. Also worth mentioning is the fact that Ever Password site offers plenty of free security resources like AES Encryptor, MD4 and MD5 generators and more.
Final Words
Ever Password is pretty successful in making it’s mark among the plethora of password managers with its simple UI, cross platform support, strong encryption, synchronization along with the fact that it is completely free. Ever Password is a worthy app for keeping your data safe without any bells and whistles.
