After being tortured by angry birds for about four years, the pigs have had enough now and they’ve finally gotten their own game. Rovio, the makers of the über popular Angry Birds mobile game, have launched a new game for mobile — Bad Piggies.
Similar to other Rovio-branded games, Bad Piggies is also a puzzle game that makes use of physics to deliver an awesome gameplay experience. The storyline of Bad Piggies is pretty simple — The Pigs have had enough and they have again planned a mission to steal eggs back from the birds. Unfortunately, their map accidentally gets torn into pieces and your job throughout the game is to help them find those pieces.
Since these pigs cannot travel on their own to reach those map pieces, you’ve to help them build vehicles that can run (or fly!) using a given set of wooden boxes, fans, motor wheels and even bottle sodas. This logic might sound easy for some, but the game is actually very addictive and gets intensely tough at times since the game requires these vehicles to be built with a perfect combination and arrangement of the tools in order to complete a level within given limits.
The game is free of any cost, but is ad supported and there is no paid copy available. Interestingly, Rovio has also included in-app purchases in Bad Piggies for hiring ‘mechanic piggies’ that can build vehicles for you instantly if you’re stuck on any particular level.
After being obsessed with Angry Birds for a few years now by releasing repetitive versions of the same old game differing only in locations, it looks like Rovio has finally started looking for more game options with their recently launched Amazing Alex and its newest title, Bad Piggies.
Anyway, Bad Piggies can be downloaded for free from the Play Store. Oh and its also available for iOS as well as Mac. A Windows and Windows Phone version is on its way.
There are two versions of the game available, one for normal screens and the other is the HD version, best suited for tablets, phablets and a few large mobiles having a resolution of 720p or more.
Interesting fact: Angry Birds is the 35th mobile game made by its company, Rovio. It was only after 34 failed experiments that the company was finally able to develop a mobile game that has now become a house-hold name. This is a classic example of why one should never give up despite facing failures. 🙂
