Say hello to the LG Nexus 4 and Samsung Nexus 10, Google’s newest flagship devices that will carry Android 4.2 on board. Although Google had to cancel their Nexus event because of hurricane Sandy, they have unveiled their newest works through their official blog.

They’ve also announced Android 4.2, which is still named as Jelly Bean. It is a small update to Android in terms of visual graphics, but brings a multitude of amazing new features.

The Nexus 4 is a beautiful phone manufactured by LG that shares its body design with its predecessor, the Galaxy Nexus sans any curved lines. Some people might find the design disappointing since it isn’t a revolutionary new design, but it’s actually nice. In fact, it is a beautiful piece of technology built with glass (hooray for no plastic!) and protected by Gorilla glass on both the sides of the phone.

Specifications anyone? Packing in a 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and 2GB RAM, the LG Nexus 4 is undoubtedly the fastest phone on the planet right now. It also sports a 4.7-inch 720p IPS display with a pixel density of 320ppi (pixels per inch) that puts it on par with iPhone 5’s 326ppi and Lumia 920’s 332ppi.

Google's Wireless Charging Orb

Google has also unveiled Wireless Charging Orb for the LG Nexus 4 that will let you charge the phone without wires. However, there are no details about the availability and pricing of the orb yet.

Talking about its camera capabilities, the Nexus 4 sports a 8MP rear and a 1.9MP front facing camera. The photo quality of the device is currently unknown, but according to The Verge, “a lot of attention has been paid to the low-light performance of the camera”.

Perhaps the most amazing feature of this phone is its price — starting at just $299 for the 8GB model and $349 for the 16GB one. A 32GB version would have been great, but it’s still enough for 90% of the people out there. The remaining people can embrace the cloud.

The LG Nexus 4 will be available on the Google Play Store in the U.S., U.K., Australia, France, Germany, Spain and Canada starting from 13th November and more countries will follow gradually. According to an LG rep, the device will be available in Indian markets in November alone.

Simply put, the Nexus 4 is the best Android smartphone yet at half the price of Samsung Galaxy S3, HTC One X or an other high-end Android phone.

Moving on to the second Nexus device, the Samsung Nexus 10 is an 10-inch Android tablet manufactured by Samsung. The tablet sports a stunning 10-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 and a pixel density of 300ppi, making it superior to every single tablet in the market, including the new iPad.

Other specifications include a dual-core ARM Cortex A15 chip, quad-core Mali T604 GPU and 2GB of RAM. On the back, there’s a 5 megapixel rear camera and a 1.9 megapixel front camera. It runs Android 4.2 and will come in two variants — 16GB and 32GB. Sadly, there’s no 3G support.

Similar to the Nexus 4, it’ll also be available for purchase on the Google Play Store starting from 13th November in the U.S., U.K., Australia, France, Germany, Spain, Canada and Japan, carrying a price tag of $399 for the 16GB and $499 for the 32GB model.
