We always wish to make it a habit to keep their browsers free of any spammy toolbars. Though modern means of freeware always make it a point to install some random toolbar and setting your homepage default to a custom search page which tracks all your searches in order to generate some revenue. Of course, a decent uninstaller software would do suffice for the cleansing of these toolbars but you still have to deal with browser add-ons.
Enter ToolBar Cleaner
Thankfully, we found a simply yet powerful tool to wipe all those annoying toolbars in a stroke. ToolBar Cleaner provides a simple yet powerful interface to remove some of the most annoying browser add-ons and toolbars out there.

While the goal of ToolBar Cleaner happens to be keep your PC clean from the adware, the software by itself funnily by default asks you to set MyStart page as the default search page. If that is not enough for you it also prompts you to install another piece of adware on your PC. Thankfully, this can be just unchecked during installation.
Luckily, using ToolBar Cleaner is as easy it can be. Just launch the app, it automatically searches for all the installed toolbars in the browsers installed on your PC. You can then select the toolbars to remove and just confirm. If there are any left over components, ToolBar Cleaner also prompts you to remove them from add and remove programs.
ToolBar Cleaner also lets you choose your startup programs. However, frankly we found it no better than even the default MSCONFIG utility. Just a handy addition if you like it in one place though.
Cool, How good is it though?
One particular thing which I would like to nit-pick is that it lists out all your Google Chrome and Firefox extensions which you have manually installed. Obviously you would not want Toolbar Cleaner to remove them. Apart from this very minor design irk, everything works perfectly as advertised. ToolBar Cleaner particularly shines in removing Browser Helper Objects which would otherwise be quite a pain to manually remove. To summarise in a line : Removing all those junk toolbars was never simpler than this.
