The Google’s biggest event of the year, Google I/O 2013 has just ended with a plethora of new releases for various platforms, including Play Game Services, shiny new Maps, redesigned Google+ interface and much more. The major agenda of this year overall seemed to be pushing the web standards forward and introducing improvements to various Google products.
The most interesting new release for smartphones was undoubtedly Hangouts — Google’s new instant messaging service that combines Google+ Messenger and Google Talk.

Please keep in mind that Hangouts will replace Google Talk automatically in some time as the roll out continues. To force install it, you will have to uninstall Google Talk from your phone. Devices which come pre-installed with Talk will need to be rooted before Talk can be removed from the /system/app folder.
