The slick next-gen iPhone 4G is set to launch this June 7, less than a week from now. Everyone is curiously waiting for it including us.
Since the last two months, All the leaked videos and photos piled up have said almost everything about the next iPhone- How does it look, its hardware capabilities and lot more.
.
So till June 7 arrives, here’s what we’ve known till now in brief:-
Outer Looks
It will be sporting two different colors- Black and White.
(Update: I don’t know much about it but some people are telling there are rumors that iPhone will come in 5 Colors: White, Black, Blue, Green and Red. But personally i think any color else Black and White will look ugly)
The back is entirely flat, made of either glass or ceramic or shiny plastic and the Power, Mute & Power buttons are metallic and Aluminium border is also present, going completely around the outside.
There’s a Split buttons for volume and Secondary mic for noise cancellation at the top.
Talking about the screen, it is slightly smaller than the 3GS.
Display
It is rumored to be an little smaller than the 3GS’s screen and it won’t be a AMOLED display, just a LCD screen like the current iPhones but will be fully equipped with Multi-Touch support.
Moreover, some guys from superiphone.cz has confirmed that Its most gonna be of 940×640 resolution, after viewing it under microscope.
Camera
The Camera at the back is much improved, the lens is quite larger than the previous models and its probably a 5MP Camera with:-
- Flash
- AutoFocus
- Tap to Focus
- Photo and Video Geo-Tagging
- Most Important:- The ability of HD Video Recording , 720p upto 30 fps!
There’s a 2MP Camera on the front too for Video Chatting
Technical Features
Apple’s own A4 system-on-a-chip will be powering it, the same which powers the iPad. It will be much powerful than the 3GS model that has a power of just 600MHz. The 4G model will be boasting a 1GHz processor.
The battery is slight heavier and larger, about 16% more than its descendant. The internal components of the device are shrunken, miniaturized and reduced to make room for the larger battery.
Also, the new iPhone will be 3 grams heavier than the 3GS model. I don’t think this would make much difference.
Other Maybe’s
Rumors are flying since January about Microsoft replacing Google with their Bing as the default search engine in Apple’s Mobile Safari. This all started when a public spat broke out between Apple and Google over the Google Voice App for the iPhone.
But this is “more complicated than it sounds” as reported by TechCrunch and its still unclear if Google Search will be removed when the iPhone is announced this June 7.
I compiled everything I could find on the web to know more about the iPhone 4G (correct me please if I missed something by posting a comment)
But Its hard to say whether all these information are true are not. Apple’s gonna unveil the next iPhone along with iPhone OS 4 at this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) on June 7 and so we’ll have to wait till June 7 arrives.
