Whatsapp has gradually become the lifeline of our communication. In fact, a lot of teenagers today speak of Whatsapp as the preferred way of talking to each other. The application has become a nightmare for those who like a bit of privacy as you can directly contact anyone as long as you have the phone number of the person without any sort of validation.
However, putting the negativity aside, the application has allowed you to not just connect with your friends via messages. but also share images, send short voice messages as well as sending across locations.
Although sending images is easy, but so far you could send only one image at a time via whatsapp. That has changed as the latest update to Whatsapp has added the ability to now send multiple pictures via the iPhone. This feature, has been present for users on Android, but showed up for iPhone only recently.
You would need to update your whatsapp application to the latest version that is 2.10.1. You can simply go into the app store and hit the update button to get the ability to send multiple images via Whatsapp.
If you have installed Whatsapp via any other method apart from the App store or have certain Cydia tweaks associated with Whatsapp and they are important to you, do not upgrade without knowing if the tweaks support the latest update
You will obviously require iOS version 4.3 or later to run the application on your iPhone.
So, in order to send several images to your contact on whatsapp, this is how you are supposed to go about it:
Make sure you have the latest version of Whatsapp like mentioned above. Open the chat window of the contact whom you wish to send multiple images.
Click on the extra icon located left to the typing field and select ‘Chose Existing Photo’ and select from the several folders which you may have on your device.
Select the very first photo that you want to send and select the plus icon that will show up at the bottom of the new window.
The plus sign will open up images on your device and here you can select several images at one go which you want to send to your contact.
Once you have selected the images you want to send, you will come back to the window where all the images you have selected appear. You can now rearrange these images by simply holding on to them and moving them around.
Once done, you click on the send button and all the images you have selected will be sent at one go.
Is this all the new update brings??
The answer is no. Facing competition with the likes of WeChat and Line, Whatsapp has been steadily adding to it’s arsenal and another really handy feature is the ability to now back up your chat on Whatsapp to iCloud. This is especially handy if you frequently switch between more than one iPhone.
To do this, simply go into Settings and there you will find Chat Settings. Simply click on Chat Backup and you can set up the backup of your Whatsapp chat in your iCloud account.
So, it is pretty easy to now send multiple images via Whatsapp on iPhone and no more is it a pain when transferring photos from your iPhone where you have to manually send every picture you need to. The iCLoud backup is pretty handy too as you can be sure that you do not miss out on those special moments on Whatsapp.
