Being a Twitter User is not easy, you need to keep track of your followers, avoid spammers and meet new tweeps having similar interests.
If you are an Twitter Addict, Here are some free online tools which will you manage your Followers, unFollowers, track your influence and much more:
There are many Twitter users whose tweets are more like spam restricting other useful tweets to come up in your timeline like some of my friends ( I am not gonna disclose their names ;P ) and many users who don’t tweet at all, So its better to unfollow them.
Manage Flitter is probably one of the best Twitter Service you will find to tackle this problem. It suggests you users whom you shouldn’t follow.
All you got to do is login using your Twitter account and after retrieving information about your account, you will be presented with a sorted list of your followers into :-
- Talkative – Tweeps who tweet too much
- Quite – Tweeps who tweet too less.
- People who don’t follow you back.
- Users who don’t have a Profile Image, Possibly Spammers
Select the users whom you don’t want to follow any longer and click on Unfollow and you’re done 🙂
Whenever anyone follows you, Twitter tells you about it by sending an email but there’s no option to know when someone un-follows you.
TwUnfollow notifies you about latest Twitter users who have stopped following you by sending regular emails. At the moment it checks the followers about four to five times a day. Its upon you to decide whether to receive email instantly when someone un-follows you or a daily summary.
If you wonder why I numbered it 2.5, its because its very similar to TwUnfollow. Qwitter updates you with your latest un-followers by sending daily emails. It keeps a record of your history which you view anytime.
But in the recent past, many of my friends have complained that they aren’t receiving emails since long. I can’t say much about this because i am receiving emails regularly, the last time I received was 19 July.
If Qwitter doesn’t work for you, you should try TwUnfollow.
Klout lets you track your effect on the Twitterverse in a very detailed fashion. You can see the impact of your opinions and posts across the Twitter social graph. The control panel lets you examine some valuable data like, who you influence, who influences you, your Top Retweets and other stats. If you are a Social Media Pro wanting some good analytics, you should try it.
A definite tool to use from time to time to better understand your account and habits.
Foller has several interesting features, it shows a cloud of a user’s Mentions, Hastags and topics Plus the best feature which i Liked: the ability to see your followers’ Geographic Location on a Google Map. Just enter his username into the search box and Search!
(To see the city of your follower, hit the ‘t’ icon)
Nearby Tweets helps you discover users who are tweeting near you. Its an interesting tool, you can find new friends, meet them, talk with them or whatever you wish to.
Enter your city name in this format: City, Country
Twilk is one of my favorite service. Its a fun and easy tool which puts faces of your followers on your Twitter Background, really useful to show your love to your followers.
It even sorts them based on how much you mention them in your Twitter feed.
To get your own background, login with your Twitter Account and follow the easy steps. At the end, you will get a standard Twitter Background with your followers’ faces. No needing to know any code or anything like that
Its Features Include:
- Choose between people you follow and/or your followers.
- The more you interact with someone, the more prominently they are positioned.
- Other options: 2 columns only, black and white.
It has both free and premium version. The free version requires you to come back to Twilk.com to update your background while the premium version automatically updates it on a daily basis.
This list ends here, if you know any other good tool, do tell us about it in the comments 🙂
