The best thing about jailbreaking your iPhone is that it propels you into the world of endless possibilities and customizations from a rather closed limited cell that Apple wanted your iPhone to live in. Although iOS 7 has been the biggest facelift of iOS right since it’s conceptualization, human imagination always wants to go one step ahead. No sooner than jailbreak was possible, there were several tweaks that added core functions that even the much revered iOS 7 seem to be missing out on. While some tweaks add functions, there are others which bring whole new concepts to the table. Vertex for iOS 7 is one such tweak. (image base: iphonehacks)
What does the tweak do?
To describe the tweak in the simplest possible way, it combines the Control Center and the Multitasking Window of iOS as though the two were born together, as one. This is a really interesting concept and one that is more about visual treat than anything else. The tweak simply combines the two functionals of iOS 7, so that everytime you swipe from bottom to up in order to bring the Control Center, you get a glimpse of the Multi-Tasking window too instead of wasted screen estate when this is done on a normal non-jailbroken iPhone with iOS 7.
So, while accessing the Control Center you can now swipe away the apps you do not need and are open in the background or simply pick one that you would want to go into and try out. It is worth noting that the tweak marries the Control Center and Multitasking Window into one entity beautifully and in a way that is impossible to tell that the two ever existed as independent entities. The core functions of Control Center or Multitasking Window is in no way affected by the tweak. (image: Redmondpie)
Availability of the Tweak
Vertex is available to download for $1.49 and worth every cent of that money. It can be found in the BigBoss Repo for download and currently supports any device that runs iOS 7. The tweak definitely looks more attractive visually on the iPad given the larger display that the iPad brings with it. (image: Redmondpie)
Video Demo of the Tweak
Vertex is the sort of the tweak that must be seen or experienced to really appreciate the work of the developer, so here is a video that shows the capabilities of the tweak. Although, the video is not in English, it is pretty much self explanatory what is being said in the video.
