Everyday news breaks left right and centre in the world of technology. It is pretty much impossible to capture all these stories and bring a detailed report. And not bring this news to our readers feels unfair.
Just as a disclaimer, we would not be divulging into details of the story and just give a brief outline of what the story was all about. So without any further adieu lets begin on what caught our attention on Tuesday of March 18th, 2014.
Xbox One Coming to India on March 25th
Proud to confirm that Xbox One would be coming to India in Sept 2014. More details in April. #XboxIndia
— Anshu Mor (@anshuMor) March 18, 2014
Finally the news all the enthusiasts of Titanfall wanted to hear. Yes, Xbox One or XBone as the slang goes is set to roll out in India officially in September of 2014. This is a strange move considering that you can already pick the Sony Playstation 4 in India for about Rs 40,000. This delay in launch would only be a detrimental thing on already crashing sales of the Xbox One, unless they could bundle the console with an earth shattering offer that wows the audience to dig deep into their pockets.
Apple Announces the iPhone 5c in 8 GB Variant
Apple has decided to offer its second flagship smartphone in a reduced 8 GB Memory variant. Everything about the device, including the colour choices remain the same, but an 8 GB iPhone 5c can be picked for about 409 Euros which is a good 60 Euros less than the 16 GB Model. The move is seen as an act of desperation from Apple as the sales number of the iPhone 5c have not really touched the sky high points that Apple had initially anticipated. Though no word on the Indian pricing has been revealed, there are several rumours flying around that the phone could well be made available for anything between Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 34,000. The iPad 4 Replaces iPad 2 as Apple goes all Lightening
After almost four years of service, Apple has finally decided to retire the iPad 2. Still seen as a viable alternative to every budget Android tablet out there, the iPad 2 has been replaced by the iPad 4 which has made a comeback. The iPad 4 would bring the same Retina display as the iPad Air but in a thicker chassis and a gen older processor. The iPad 4 would retail for about $399 (16 GB WiFi) which would be roughly around Rs.25,000. This means that the iPad Mini without Retina is now the only Apple product which does not have a retina display after Apple also buried the iPhone 3GS a couple of years ago into grave.
More iOS 8 Screenshots Appear as we get a glimpse of healthbook app
We were hardly over iOS 7.1 and iOS 8 is already making the headlines. Screenshots of the healthbook app from iOS 8 have surfaced which show that the UI of the app is very similar to what we have seen from passbook. The app looks extremely detailed at least when it comes to listing health parameters indicating that it would track even the intricate things such as blood sugar, nutrition etc. It is not very clear how the iPhone will be able to track this, and it may well be up to the much anticipated iWatch to record them and transmit the data over to the device.
Leaked Image shows LG may be experimenting with a stylus that you could wear
— @evleaks (@evleaks) March 18, 2014
Remember a stylus? Back in the day of Windows Phone or early HTC Touch device, there was a supplementary device that allowed you to make selections on the screen. Apart from the Galaxy Note series, we have pretty much seen every other major brand ditch stylus and go with an all finger input system. However, LG seems set to bring the good old days back. According to a tweet by @Evleaks, LG is working on a stylus that can be doubled as a handy wrist band too. This is certainly an interesting experiment and one you could see a market for in future as screen sizes go on expanding.
