Everyday news breaks left right and centre in the world of technology. It is pretty much impossible to capture all these stories and bring a detailed report. And not bring this news to our readers feels unfair.

Apple working on a transparent texting app?
Apple may well be working on a transparent texting application for the upcoming iOS release. Apple had filed for a patent in September 2012 for a solution where you can press an icon to replace the background of the texting app with the live feed of the rear camera. This is to ensure that the users know what is ahead of them if they cannot raise their heads and continue to text and walk. We still have our concerns regarding the arrangement though and we wrote details about the same here.
Windows 7 has more than four times the market share than Windows 8 and 8.1 Combined
As attractive as Metro UI looks on Windows 8/8.1, the sales numbers of the same have been pretty disappointing. This is the reason why Microsoft has been attempting both major and minor tweaks to Windows 8.1 so that the adaption of the same would go up. While Windows 8.1 numbers have steadily grown, Windows 8 remains dud. In fact, the two of them together have barely an 11% market share in the PC world, according to a report in TNW. Windows 7 continues to rule the roost with 48.77% market share while Windows XP still holds a solid 27.6% market share. Apple’s Mac OSX accounts for 7.5% share while Linux is at paltry 1.49%.
