As we gradually become slaves of the digital world, there is still a unique romance about holding and reading a physical copy of the book you love the most. However, thanks to usually more affordable E-Books and the fact that they do not add any extra weight to the bag pack, more often than not we are caught with our Kindle than a physical book. The best thing about Amazon’s Kindle service is that you can have the dedicated app run on your iOS or Android device and not necessarily have to own a Kindle tablet to read the huge collection of books.
In an effort to push Kindle service on other devices, Amazon has teamed up with Samsung to release a custom book service for the Galaxy range of smartphones. This special app will be a modified version of the Kindle app that we have seen in the past but will bring exclusive E-Books, Magazines and Newspaper. Amazon has promised over 500,000 exclusive titles for the specially designed app. Not just this, Amazon will also offer an E-Book free every month from a choice of four, totalling to 12 free E-books a year. If you are into books, this is without a doubt a killer deal, and one of the added reason to pick the newly launched Samsung Galaxy S5.
The reason for that is, although the app will be available for the vast range of Galaxy devices which run Android 4.0 and above, it would first arrive on the Galaxy S5 later in April and then move on to other devices. The app should be available within the next two weeks in over 90 countries.
Lee Epting, VP, Samsung’s Media Solution Center Europe, said in a statement.“We’re delighted to be able to deepen our long-standing relationship with Amazon and offer Kindle for Samsung as the perfect app for reading on a smart device. With this service we demonstrate our commitment to creating and broadening key content partnerships that deliver rich and personalised experiences for our customers.”
