The eventual announcement might be a good few months away, but the winds of leaks of iPhone 6 are now an everyday phenomenon. And yes, sadly, we are being blown away by the wind! We have resisted covering any iPhone 6 rumor so far simply because there has been a lingering question mark over the substantiality of the leak. But, with too many leaks pointing towards the same direction, looks like the iPhone 6 has succumbed before the prowess of freedom on the internet.
According to an Italian site, Macitynet, which was picked by Macumors, the iPhone 6 will feature rounded edges, more so than any other iPhone we have seen, perhaps closest to the iPhone 3Gs. According to the leaked image the power button of the iPhone 6 will be on the right sleeve of the device which makes sense given the larger form factor of the new iPhone.
Not just this, the build materials of the iPhone 6 too are different. Apple has moved to what looks like a complete metallic profile and the glass bits like on the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s are gone. The Camera module too has moved a tad upwards. It is weird but for some reason, this placement reminds us of a Micromax Canvas 4, where we always felt the Camera was too far closer to the top flank.
Macitynet claims that this is a refined prototype and is as close to a real iPhone as possible saying about the design, (Translated using Google translator) “We see however also two thin lines on the upper and lower edges that probably indicate a design similar to that of the iPhone, characterized by an aluminum back but broken by two bands in another material (maybe in the glass as the iPhone 5S) which should ensure proper operation of the antenna. Of note, the projection lens of the camera; the technical solution is the same as for the latest generation iPod touch, remember, has just a protruding ring that protects the glass lens, reading to the surface of the back. Apple may have been forced to this by the fact that the modules have a thickness of the lens unavoidable and can not be integrated, parading perfectly with the profile of the telephone. At this point it seems to me that, apart from size, we can easily imagine the new iPhone 6 as an evolution of the iPod touch which might look like a lot.“
