Siri was what ignited the war of Digital Personal Assistants. Apple announced the much loved featured with their iPhone 4s and back in the day people actually bought the device just so that they could have some time with Siri. Almost three years after being born, Siri has grown up, learnt a lot and is capable of doing a lot of things. Its another story how still everybody thinks that Siri is not mature enough to handle most tasks.
This is why discovering new things as you go along is one of the most fascinating things about the experience. The more you interact with Siri, chances are more things you will be able to get out from the Digital Assistant. Folks over at iMore discovered something not many of us knew and were kind enough to share it with everyone. What was the discovery? Well, it was that, Siri can now tell you a bedtime story as you go to sleep or if you have a child, it could just help take some parenting burden off you shoulders.
Now, getting Siri to tell a story requires a bit of patience and effort as it will not work in the first go. You have to keep repeating yourself as Siri seems to only give in if requested enough number of times. To get Siri to tell the story, simply fire it up and give the command, “Siri, please tell me a story”. Several other combinations such as, “Please tell me a story” will work too.
When you give the command for the very first time, the response could be anything between, “what again?” or “I’m sure you’ve heard it before”. If it is one of those, you simply need to repeat the command to Siri about three or four times and eventually it gives in. There is a possibility that web results would be displayed too, in that case, you simply have to do the process again and make sure Siri is able to understand what you are speaking.
So, if you have a Siri enabled iPhone, go ahead and give it a try and share with us what story Siri told you!
