The battle for the budget segment is seriously heating up. It has barely been a couple of weeks since Motorola cause a bit of a whirlwind sensation by introducing the Motorola Moto E, which prompted a swift response from Micromax which launched the Unite 2, and if that was not an option good enough, Lava is bringing the Iris X1 in the same segment.
Priced at Rs 1,000 higher than both the Unite 2 and Moto E, the Lava Iris X1 will retail for Rs 7,999 from tomorrow. The device will be available from Amazon India and will come bundled with a free 16 GB Micro SD Card. Unlike the Moto E though, the device is not expected to remain an online only offering with the retail stores offline set to get the device soon after the launch.
