Snapchat is a rage among teens today. You see them snapchatting pretty much all the time at all the places, sometimes weird places too. But that is fine, given Snapchat deletes the pictures that you send to your contacts after a few seconds of them checking it out. Therefore, Snapchat has become one of the best ways of sharing disposable images. What enhances the privacy is the fact that if you take a screenshot on your device while seeing a snapchat, it alerts the user on the other end and make no mistake, he or she will confront you. But what if you really need to take a screenshot without letting the other person know? You can do that if you are using a Windows Phone and have one of the Snapchat clients installed. How? Lets find out.
But, before we do that, here is a word of warning. Obviously we expect all our readers to respect the privacy of their friends and peers who they are snapchatting with and hope, none of them would use the method below to hurt or put the other person into trouble. This method is merely for use cases like class notes etc that maybe really important to share and no other medium is possible. Please, once again, do not invade or intrude into the privacy of others and remain a sane and good friend.
So once we are morally on the right track, you need to follow the steps below to take a shot of the shared Snapchat without the other person knowing what you just did.
Step 1:
Make sure you have a working Snapchat client on your Windows Phone. You may use 6snap for being cent percent sure though.
Step 2:
You need to make sure, you have the latest Windows Phone Update installed on your phone. None of this will go through if you do not have at the very least, the Lumia Black or the GDR3 update on your Windows Phone.
Step 3:
Once you have made sure that you have the update installed, you need to head over to the Windows Store on your device and download the app called Nokia Beamer.
Download: The Download link for the Application Nokia Beamer for free can be found here.
Step 4:
Install the app and run it. After this you need to go to your PC and on the web browser, go to the address, “beam.nokia.com”
Step 5:
After entering the address, sync your phone with the PC on which the live screen is being projected.
Step 6:
Load up the Snapchat client now and open the Snapchat that you wish to save a screenshot. Once you have the snapchat before you, shake the phone in any direction and the captured image will show up on your screen of PC which you can now take a screenshot of. Since no screenshot was taken on the Windows Phone, the user on the other end will not know about what you just did and you can save the picture on your hard drive.
It is really simple to save the screenshot using the method above. Not just 6snap, but pretty much every snapchat client works with the method described below. However, once again we stress upon the point, that we hope our readers would not use this method for anything malicious and will act in a responsible and decent manner.
Techsplurge is not responsible for any mishaps caused by the method described above.
