When it comes to micro-sharing, Twitter has completely changed the way we see and use it. But twitter isn’t the only site that lets users socialize around short messages and there are some other sites too, for example – Hollur.
Hollur takes a different approach to micro-sharing by focusing on your own voice. Its just like twitter but instead of short text messages, people share their messages in short audio clips, called “bits” which can’t be longer than 20 seconds.
You have to express all your emotions/message in that 20 seconds only (not enough for a person like me) on which your people can comment too. These bits are self-hosted on Hollur, so there’s no use of bit.ly, goo.gl or any other URL shorteners.
It is a nice startup but the question is whether people will like this concept of oral tweeting, Hollur will have to go miles before it can reach anywhere near Twitter.
