BlackBerry is set to roll out its latest flagship device called the BlackBerry Z3 in India this week for a price of about Rs 11,000. After some decent financial results which saw the Canadian manufacturers post a revenue of $966 million, which was higher than what most analysts had predicted, BlackBerry is set to come out fighting on all fronts in order to turn to profit. This figure is obviously way lower than the $3.1 billion that BlackBerry earned in the same quarter last year, but there were enough encouraging signs for the BlackBerry CEO John Chen this quarter.
And just before the latest smartphone from BlackBerry hits the market, BlackBerry is making their current flagship device more affordable than ever. The BlackBerry Z30 which is the latest BlackBerry phone to run BB OS 10.2.1 was initially available in the market for a price of upwards of Rs 34,000. The same device can now be picked for Rs 29,990 with BlackBerry offering you Rs 5,000 as a cash back on your old smartphone, with the condition that it must be working. BlackBerry had released the device in the market for Rs 39,990.
The move is fairly surprising as you can already pick the phone from E-Com portals like Flipkart for Rs 30,750 like here.
However, with the official pricing coming below the Rs 30,000 mark, you can expect the online prices to go down even further in the coming days. No details of the devices that are eligible for the deal were made available though you can ask for it from your nearest BlackBerry dealer. The exchange offer is valid for another 60 days, so in case you are looking to pick the BlackBerry Z30, you totally should go ahead and get one.
