As silly as they may look, selfies are in rage today. The most high profile leaders are doing it, the players at the World Cup are doing it, the hollywood stars are doing it, the pretty girl sitting across you is doing it too. Thanks to the ever growing power of social media, the selfie culture is only getting bigger with it becoming a vital element of several promotions and marketing gigs.
In an attempt to keep up with the trend, Line messenger has announced a family application called Line Selfie Sticker which basically turns your selfie into a sticker on your smartphone. This would help you give a more personal touch to your conversations. It still amuses us how something like stickers have really becoming a major element of differentiation for the cross platform IM apps, but this is perhaps the most unique approach to them. So far, you had a set of stickers which you could either download for free or purchase in a pack to add an element of fun to your chat window.
Using the application is super easy. You must take a selfie and then pick up one of the 130 character illustrations that are available within the application. Once you do that, you have to adjust your image on top to make sure things fit well. You can change the aspects of stickers such as adding in a speech bubble with a customised message or playing around with the angle as well as the size of the sticker. These stickers can then be edited in the Line Camera app or directly be sent over to the chat that you are participating in. The application is currently available for Android and iOS only for absolutely free.
