Personalization is one of the best thing you can do in Windows 7, change your theme, wallpaper, icons, anything you wish. But wouldn’t it be cool if they change automatically by themselves?
WeatherBar is a nice freeware utility which automatically changes the wallpaper according to the weather conditions of your location. You can also choose custom wallpapers and it continuously runs in the background without consuming (almost) any amount of memory.
All you got to do is open the application, click on the Pencil button and enter your city name and it’ll show weather conditions of the current & next 3 days which is, by-default, set to update every 1 minute.
Small Tip: If it doesn’t recognize your city, then try entering it in this format: “City, Country”
A feature that I really like about it and makes this app different from other weather apps & gadgets is the ability to integrate with the Windows 7 taskbar. Therefore, instead of constantly switching to the desktop to take a peek at the pinned gadget, the user can simply take a look at the taskbar, or right-click on the application icon to read the forecast.
However, the wallpapers included with the pack are only a piece of image having names for weather conditions. You can change it by clicking on the “Change backgrounds” button and then replacing them with your wallpapers.
You can also add a shortcut to this app in your “Startup” folder so that it loads every time you start Windows, use this path to find that folder:
“X:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs”
