You must have experienced a time where colors are just not fitting you, it could be a mood thing, could be a time where you are in mood for some extra battery conservation or maybe just some bedtime reading where you do not really appreciate all the color that is filtering in your eyes, all of when, you wish the good old days come back and you could have your iPhone back in a black and white mode.
Not just this, there are people out there who do not recognize colors well or suffer from color blindness, for them too, too much of colors and hue could be really irritating. It is keeping all of this in mind that your iPhone gives you a chance to be able to use it in a black and white mode. It is extremely easy to convert your iPhone from a color display to a black and white one and vice cersa. Simply follow the steps below as we try and illustrate the same for you.
On the desktop or the springboard of your device, you will need to click on the Settings app.
Once you are in the settings application, click on General which is located after two mini breaks.
When in General, you will need to search for Accessibility, which is where the option to turn your iPhone into a good old black and white device exists.
In Accessibility, look at the fourth option from the top in vision subcategory. You will find Greyscale. Simply tap the switch to turn on greyscale mode on, which will turn your device into a black and white one. You can turn the toggle off, in case you want to turn the device back to color mode.
It’s as simple as that to switch your iPhone to a black and white mode. This method works perfectly with both iOS 7 and iOS 8, so if you have an iOS device, including an iPod Touch, an iPad or an iPhone running iOS 8 or 7, you should have nothing to worry about.
