Update: This isn’t working for some users, maybe because of the heavy response Pennytel is getting. I am looking into this and will keep you updated.
Pennytel, an Australia-based VoIP service provider is offering 10 Million Free Minutes to Several Countries such as India, Australia, UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Singapore.
All you need is a valid email address and nothing else. This offer is limited to 8th January 2011 so you’ll have to hurry to avail it. If you are wondering how much 10M minutes is equal to:
100,00,000 Minutes = 166 666.67 Hours = 6944.45 Days = 231.48 Months = 19.29 Years! Oh my God!

Step 2. In the menu present on the left, click on Pennytel Softphone and activate it.
Step 3. Dial the number whom you wish to call in this format: +<country code><mobile number>
For e.g., For making a call to someone in India, you’ll have to dial +919771567011

Pennytel has its own app for Android, iPhone, iPod and iPad.
iOS Users, you can get it from the iTunes Store. For Android Phones, you can download it by searching for “Pennytel” in the App Store.
Pennytel’s own app is very good but you can also use Fring, Nimbuzz etc and use the SIP settings provided above.
