It is always a heart-wrenching feeling when a natural calamity strikes. The wrath of the nature is such that when it hits, the force often causes a large destruction to the human life and property. The last few days in Nepal have been nothing short of disastrous, and our prayers and heart goes out to every single one of the affected person and hope that the normal life is restored as soon as possible.
However, what is also true is that while prayers may move the mountains, the cost of the equipment still needs to be paid and that needs funds. With the large scale destruction in Nepal and with almost 3000+ lives sacrificed, any assistance will be a welcome bonus. We may not be able to physically reach the ground and help out as much as we may want to, we can always help out by making a generous donation.
Apple has set up a donations page for Nepal Relief in iTunes which would help you make a donation towards American Red Cross which would generously use the funds to bring some relief in the affected areas. To be able to make donation, you need to visit the link here which would fire open iTunes on your computer, from where you can make the donation. The link does not work if you are using an Indian iTunes ID, so make sure you have an American one, so that you can go ahead and make a donation in the sums of $5, 10, 25, 50, 100 and 200. The funds will be deducted from your Credit Card that has been linked to the iTunes account, just like it would, if you were to purchase a song or an application from iTunes.
