Five years ago, a 5.5-inch smartphone would have been considered a bit of an antique piece meant to be kept in a museum, however, today devices greater than 5 inches have become so popular and common that they have become a category of their own called the ‘Phablets’. With the exception of the RedMi Note, most of the phablets have fallen into the category of high-end flagships making them pretty steep for those who are looking to pick up budget smartphones.
However, Lenovo has done some great work when it comes to populating the lower and mid-tier segment of smartphones with pretty interesting options in India. Devices like A6000 and A7000 have been critically appreciated both by the experts as well as the masses. Carrying on their good work and making their name in the budget segment, Lenovo has announced the K3 Note, which is the cheapest Android smartphone out there with a 1080 P Full HD display.
In terms of other specifications, the phone comes with a 5.5 inch Full HD IPS display. You have 2 GB RAM and 16 GB ROM on board with an expansion slot. The device will be powered by the MediaTek 6752 octacore chipset and has 2900 mAh removable battery. The K3 Note will come in three different colors, including: yellow, black and white. It is worth noting that the phone will come with Dolby Atmos Audio and 13 MP rear camera along with 5 MP front facing snapper. On the connectivity front, you have the usual options, and the device does support 4G LTE and has a support for dual SIM. On the software front, you have Android 5.0 with Vibe UI running on top.
Following the trend, the K3 Note will be available via flash sale on Flipkart, for a price of Rs 9,999. The registrations for the flash sale are on and the first sale will take place on July 8th.
