Instagram finally rolled out a feature where you will be able to login and access more than one Instagram account from within the application. This was a much requested feature, especially from those in the Social media management industry as they always had to juggle between their personal accounts and the brand accounts. And in a moment of haste, you always ended up posting an image to the wrong account. Instagram has taken away all that pain and you can now relax and use one app and have several accounts, instead of always having to log out and in again by adding support for multiple accounts.
There were a few options previously, the likes of Instwogram which proved to be a work around, but there is nothing like a native support. So, how do you actually go about and add another user to your Instagram app. First and foremost, you will obviously need to have another Instagram account to log in to.
Once you are done, you would want to head over to Google Play or the Apple iTunes Store and download the latest update of Instagram. In India, we have received multiple user feature on Android but not on iOS so far. For Android, the version at least you would want to have is 7.15.0.
Once you have the version, go to your Instagram app and click on the right most tab which would take you to your Profile. In profile, click the three dot menu and scroll to the last fold. You will see the option here, of ‘Add Account’. Simply add the username and password of the other account you wish to add. Once you do that, you will be logged into both the accounts. In order to switch, you simply have to long press your profile avatar at the right bottom and select the account you wish to use. You can then go ahead and upload pictures or simply browse through the feed of the account. In case, you want to log out of the account, you need to come to the same ‘Options’ screen and right below the ‘Add Account’ there is an option to log you out.
