There are quite a few apps for Android which suggest things like pictures & videos as per your mood available right now. But Android Feel, a Personal Application plans to take this to a new level of personalization, with a touch of Metro UI.
Although the app is still in Development, I got a chance to peek into it – How it will work, what features it’ll have and when it’ll be released.
The main and basic function of this app is to ask you “How do you Feel?”, where you can answer by searching a specific emotion-state of mind e.g.Happy, Sad, Hungry, In Love etc.
The UI looks beautiful – a perfect feel of the sexy Metro UI.
By integrating your Phone’s agenda and notes, it sorts out everything important in a particular day/week/month and filters it out. In case of Upcoming Birthdays and other events like an important meeting or a Party, it reminds you that you don’t miss them.
Though there was no hint of Google Calendar but it’ll be good if its included as well.
It takes advantage of Popular Social Networks like Facebook, Twitter etc and suggests you things that you should do next.
Suppose you feel hungry at the moment and choose it as your mood and enter your City, it’ll come up with nearby Local Restaurants where you can have a good meal. You can then quickly check prices of different meals too to help you decide even better.
It also shows moods of other friends of yours, like on Facebook, who feel the same. You can then comment on their moods, or if you feel the same, like you both feel like going out, you can hang out with them 😉
Another good stuff in this is its Geo-location feature. It will get your location automatically using your phone’s GPS and tell you the weather conditions in your City, followed by things which you can do till then like – Grab a Movie Ticket, again you can check nearby Theatres, check prices of tickets.
The app looks like its highly customizable. It composes multiple screens – three as main which you can swipe through, just like your homescreen, with several beautiful backgrounds from Flickr which you can choose from or select your own.
When it’ll be Released?
I’m sure you must be asking this question now. The developer, alexandru-r-ghinea is a member of DeviantArt (that is where I found him) and is still developing this app. He expects to release it in the coming months – maybe 2-3 months (min) and will support Android 2.0+ versions.
You can check this short Live Demo to see how the effects will work.
(Do not open it in a Media Player, it’s not a video. You can view it in a Browser)
I hope he completes it fast because I cant wait for it to release 😉 Do Share your thoughts on this Application – What do you think about it.
