Have you ever had moments when you wished you hadn’t picked up that call from a number you didn’t know? I know I have. It could be misleading, to say the least, when you see an unknown number pop up on your screen screaming for your attention. Is it that high school classmate you’ve lost contact with over the years, or a random spam call that’s making your boss stare down at you while you’re at work?
It’s always helpful to know who’s calling you. It’s a relief when you can trace who’s making that call that’s making heads turn in the office.
- You can search for numbers you already know.
- You can identify new numbers.
- You can block telemarketers, unknown, and hidden phone numbers.
- You can check when your friends are online.
- If you’re using an Android phone, you’d need Android 4.0.3 or a later version.
- If you’re using an iPhone, you’d need iOS 8.0 or a later version. Works with iPad and iPod touch.
- If you’re using a Windows phone, you’d need Windows 10 mobile, Windows Phone 8.1, or a Windows Phone 8.
What people are saying about Truecaller:
“Perfect! I love this app! Easy to use and does what it says. I downloaded it a few days ago to replace a similar app after reading reviews. I am so glad I found this app. I receive phone calls from various medical facilities due to my job and I LOVE the information it provides, including yelp. Will never get rid of this app.” Courtney Mills gave a five-star rating on the Play Store.
“Very nice app. Add more details and customer original identity to get actual information for this person.” Ankit Shinde gave the app a four-star rating on the Play Store.
“I don’t enjoy picking up phone calls, but True Caller is dope. Makes it easier to identify the numbers I really don’t need to answer (companies, debt collector’s, spam, etc). I recommend it, especially if you dislike telemarketers and people calling to waste your time and ask for your money.” Anonymous user rated five stars on the Windows Store.
Truecaller has just introduced “Priority,” a business feature that ties up with ecommerces sites like Flipkart and Myntra. With this feature, Truecaller will now identify numbers from these shopping sites. Some ecommerce sites have already signed up for Truecaller priority like Flipkart, Myntra, Jabong, Yepme, PayTM, Voonik, Hopscotch, and Healthkart. So now you will know that that unfamiliar number isn’t a spammer but Flipkart delivery bringing home your order.
This is a new service by the same company that blocks spam messages out of your SMS inbox, identifies unknown numbers. You can either set your own rules as to which numbers to block or let the default Truecaller database block numbers automatically. Truemessenger is available only on the Play Store.
