Twitter’s live video streaming app, just got a new fancy feature: Periscope Live 360. The feature lets you, as a content creator, stream 360-degree videos so that your viewers get real-life experience. It’s one step closer to actually being there, says Periscope.
Live 360 is still in a closed beta mode, but according to reports, Twitter will release the feature to all users in a few weeks. If you’re interested in the new feature, you can sign up for the waitlist here. You’ll get an email notification once the feature opens up.
Periscope Live 360 has a built-in integration with the Insta360 Nano camera. It’s a $199 camera available on Amazon. However, you can try other cameras as well but you need to sign up via Periscope Producer.
Periscope has had a few troubles since it launched a couple of years ago. But it’s been persisting and going strong. Now, with the ability to stream 360-degree videos, there’s no doubt that Periscope will reach more users and scale new heights.
