It’s official. Starting today, Google Maps will show you hard difficult or easy it is to find a parking spot at where ever you’re headed.
Parking difficulty icon.
The feature has been around for a while now as Google rolled it out little by little. Now, though, it’s officially a full-fledged feature in 25 metro cities in the US. So the next time you’re planning a dinner date or heading for a meeting, Google Maps will help you estimate how long it’ll take you. Google Maps will do half of your work for you. No more going round and round looking for the sweet spot.

How it works.
When you open up Maps and search for a location, a “P” icon will show up next to the part that shows the estimated time and distance for your trip. The icon will indicate whether parking in that area is limited, medium, or easy. Google fetches these details from historical parking data just like it does with the Popular Times feature.
