Ever wished you could just scrub your dirty smartphone with your favorite detergent? Well, now you can. Kyocera Corporation, a Japanese phone maker, has just launched its latest device, the rafre smartphone. The best thing about this phone is It’s resistant to hot water as well as hand and body soaps. That means that you can wash your phone, just like you’d wash your phone case.
See for yourself.
Chef’s best friend.
In addition to being the world’s first smartphone that can handle soap, rafre also comes with a built-in cooking app. Designed to make life easier for all of us, the app lets you scroll through recipes, set timers, and even answer calls without having to touch the phone. Even if you have to take that important call while you’re making that next best batch of chocolate chip cookies, you have nothing to worry. The rafre smartphone will work fine even if your hands are wet or you’re wearing gloves.
Some cool tech, too.
Running on Android N, the device includes a 13-megapixel camera. Phase Detection AF gives you a better focus while Auto HDR lets you capture crystal clear photos by lightening up shady areas as well. Kyocera’s latest handset is 4G LTE compatible with and internal memory of 16GB and an expandable memory of up to 200GB with a microSD card.
Coming soon to stores in Japan.
Available from March 2017, refre will come in three color variants: Pale Pink, Clear White, and Light Blue.
