Here’s How You Can Share Your Favourite Content Through Edge for Windows 10

Windows users would love Edge. Previously known as Project Spartan, Microsoft Edge, is now the browser for Windows 10. Whether you’ve noticed it yet or not, the Edge browser has an edge over the other browsers out there: the Share button on the taskbar. This handy little button will let you share media in different ways with multiple functions:

  • Share a link
  • Share a screenshot
  • Pin apps on the Share menu
  • Add apps to the share menu

Share a link.

Depending on the apps you have on your Windows 10, you have different sharing options. Here’s how:

  1. Launch Edge. You can find the option on the Start menu.
  2. Open the website or page you want to share.
  3. Click the Share button on the top right hand side corner.
  4. Click on the app from which you’d like to share the page.
  5. If you’re not already logged in, log in.
  6. Click on the appropriate sharing option. The image shows Twitter.

If you don’t want to share an entire webpage, you can share a screenshot. Here’s how:

  1. Launch Edge. You can find the option on the Start menu.
  2. Open the website or page you want to share.
  3. Click the Share button on the taskbar and then the dropdown menu below the Share option.
  4. Select the Screenshot option.
  5. Pick the app through which you want to share the image. The apps listed will vary depending on what apps you have installed on your Windows 10.
  6. If you’re not already logged in, log in.
  7. Share as appropriate.

If you have a certain preference for the apps you share content through, you can pin those apps onto the Share menu. This will act as a shortcuts for easy access.

  1. Launch Edge and click on the Share button on the task bar.
  2. Right click on an app and click on Pin.

In the Share menu, you will see all the apps in your Windows 10 system that can share content via Edge. However, if there’s any app that’s not on the menu, you can add it anytime.

  1. Launch Edge and click on the Share button on the task bar.
  2. Click on the Look for an app in the Store option. Select the app you want, click Get, and the app will download automatically.
