Min.us, my newest file sharing addiction, has just made its file sharing service even simpler. A Desktop Application for it has now been released. This means there won’t be any more need to open up your browser to upload files, you can do it straight from your desktop.
It is a very handy and light weighed application that runs in background. For uploading a file, You simply need to drag files onto its icon in the task-bar which will then open a small window to drop those files.

After a file has been uploaded, you can view its details such as direct link to image, gallery share and editor link. However it would be great if options for title editing, erasing etc. where also present.
Moreover, there’s a Chrome extension and App for other OS are also available which I had also blogged about earlier. You can download them here:
An official app for iPhone, Blackberry and add-on for Firefox is also planned in the future.
At this moment, Min.us is only seen as an Imgur competitor. But upon looking on the updates that it has pushed out in recent times (and continues to) it shouldn’t take it much time to grow heavily. It is ad-free, gives you option to build galleries without having to signup for an account, strips EXIF data, lets you upload practically anything, it does more than everything that you want from a file sharing service.
