The Ultimate Google Buzz Tricks You May Still Not Know

Google Buzz is the new being-buzzed word in the town right now. Although many are hating it too. If you still don’t know what it is, you can read more about it here.

Personally, I don’t think its ever accomplish what the Google Team made it for – get ahead of Facebook or Twitter. Ok now lets leave it. If you have started using it then its for sure you don’t know all the tricks about it. So I am posting some of the best tricks that i found while using it.

8. Buzz Extension for Firefox

Google Buzz Extension for Firefox is a simple addon which will enable you to update your Buzz status with the Title and link to the page you are currently viewing.

Note: bit.ly shortens the urls, but at the moment, they are no longer added it to your account. The author is working on a fix for this. presently, they are shortened by the normal, public api. Most probably, version 1.1 will contain a fix for this.

7. Buzz Extension for Google Chrome

Mobile Buzz is a plugin for Google Chrome which allows you to update your Buzz Status directly from Google Chrome Browser.

But first remember to set up a Google Reader account and double check that the gears setting for m.google.com does not store your information in your computer otherwise the extension will not work. You can check it by visiting this link :

6. How to remove buzz from inbox

This is for those who don’t want Buzz Updates to appear on their Inbox. Just Click on the Create a filter on Google :

Then in the Has the words box, type :- label:buzz or is:buzz

Click on the Next Button. A Notification will appear warning you about the change. But do not worry, it won’t create any problem.

Then tick the checkbox next to skip to inbox and you’re done!

5. Post a Buzz via eMail

This is really a nice feature if you can’t access Buzz. Just send an email to buzz@gmail.com using your email address with the Subject as the Buzz. You can fill in as much spam as you wish in the Body part but Buzz won’t take it, its of no use. Btw, you can also send attachments.

4. Geolocation

If you post from your location-aware mobile phone, your location will automatically be added to your Buzz post. You can Access Buzz on your mobile phone at :- http://buzz.google.com
