Although Google Chrome’s market share is growing tremendously ( and of Firefox too ) but its the latest version of Opera which is winning everyone’s heart. The all new Opera 10.x which boasts itself as the fastest Desktop Browser on the Earth has crushed Firefox, Chrome and other browsers in a reader’s poll conducted by About.com.
It may surprise a few people, as it doesn’t boast a lion’s share of the browser market but its cool new features and lightening browsing speed explains the reason why people are loving it.
Here are the results :
- Opera 10.x - 51% (13,234 votes)
- Firefox 3.5/3.6 – 41% (10,710 votes)
- Chrome – 4% (1,266 votes)
- Internet Explorer 8 – 1% (447 votes)
- Safari 4.x – 0% (234 votes)
However this did not include the latest Firefox 3.7 a.k.a. Firefox 4 Alpha. So Firefox Lovers need not get sad by this. :)
