There’s a new music player application in the town – Apollo. Developed by Andrew, a CyanogenMod crew member, the music player app has actually been around a while in development stage, but it has finally reached very close to completion and has now been merged with CyanogenMod, which means that it’ll be the default player […]
Ever ran into a situation where, you suddenly realize that you’ve spent too much of your hard-earned (maybe) money recently and have very less idea where did you splurge them? MoneyTab will help!
An Android phone hogs internet data much more than a normal phone. This is particularly because of all the background stuff going on like syncing contacts, photos, instant messages, social network updates, email and much more.
Some people might like to limit the connectivity to certain applications. avast! Mobile Security and Internet Firewall are two of my favorite applications to do this job. They act like a firewall which restricts the connectivity to particular apps, just like in your PC.
Dropbox, the most popular free cloud storage provider is planning to unveil a new update to its Android application very soon. It has posted a beta version at it’s forum which brings a cleaner interface and lot of new features.
The new app is being developed keeping Ice Cream Sandwich’s user interface in mind. Since the birth of Android 4,0, lots of applications have undergone UI changes, featuring better interfaces, which is a good thing.
Ribbon, which was introduced in Office 2007 has been a revolutionary approach for getting access to the often used features of a program, rather than wandering through creepy menus. With Windows 8, Microsoft has decided to give even the Windows Explorer a facelift with the ribbon interface.

There are a lot of software for Desktop Operating Systems that can recover deleted files and restore them. Till now, if I wanted to recover something from my Android’s internal storage, I had to connect it through USB to my PC and use a software like Recuva (freeware) to recover it.

While testing, it recovered most of the files, except when I tried to recover files after formatting my card. More about it inside.

It can be installed with a click, and uninstalled too. During the installation menu, you’re given the options/features you wish to have.
Tasker is one of the best applications ever built for android and is among the important reasons why I chose an android as my companion. From automating phone profiles to acting as a location reminder tool, it does everything that I can think of and pushes the limit of the phone to a new height.
I’m not really a tasker guru but I’ve played with it for long and have collected a bunch of profiles that make my (already awesome) phone even awesome which I’m sharing those 16 tutorials in this post.
