After teasing with sneak peek videos and photos for long, Rovio, the maker of probably the most popular mobile game ever — Angry Birds, has finally released its newest and highly anticipated game, Amazing Alex for Android, iPhone and iPad.
The game is basically a physics based contraption puzzle where you’ve got to arrange several different toys in order to clean his room, battle backyard cardboard robots and more. It’s a little similar to an old browser-based puzzle game, WhizzBall! by Discovery where players had to get a ball to its final destination using a combination of UFOs, catapults, springs, etc. (I wonder if anyone remembers it?).
Here’s a launch trailer of the game that’ll give you an idea of the game:
The history of this game is quite interesting — Amazing Alex is actually a re-brand of Casey’s Contraption, an iOS game that was unveileds for iOS last year but never saw the light. Long story short, Rovio saw high potential in this game and gave its developers an offer that they couldn’t refuse. Except from the character, almost everything else the same.
Personally, I was starting getting bored by Angry Birds and all its special edition games. It’s good to see that Rovio has finally released a non-Angry birds game after a long period of three years.
The game features hundreds of levels and comes for a small fee of 99 cents (Rs.54) along with a free and HD version available as well. Download it before you friends do:
