Recently, I faced a weird problem after flashing a leaked firmware on my Galaxy S2. Just after the booting, a Confirm Password would lock my device which did not even accept the correct password, leaving me virtually disabled. Further, attempting more than 4 wrong would wipe out my SD card. The recovery mode was also blocked so formatting the phone was definitely not in my options list. But thankfully, after playing for few minutes, I finally freed myself from this problem.
- Enter any random password till you get a warning that your SD card will be erased and you’ll lose all your data.
- Don’t worry, go ahead and again enter any random password. Your phone will be now formatted.
- You’ll lose all your settings. But if your phone was synced with a Google account then there’s nothing to worry. Your files in SD and External SD Card will still be there. (At least it was in my case)
This should be solved now. Sign in into your Google account to sync all your preferences and apps. If you still encounter any problem, I’ll be happy to help.
